Sainsbury's Have No Delivery Slots

With England in another coronavirus lockdown, the demand for online supermarket delivery slots has once again increased. Amid this, supermarket giants Asda and Sainsbury's are set to make some big. Slots are open for December 21 to December 23, with no deliveries going out on Christmas Eve. Sainsbury’s (Owen Humphreys/PA) Sainsbury's has released the following Christmas delivery slot schedule but slots are not yet open to book, the supermarket are keeping this underwraps. The schedule is: For delivery on December 20, slots can be booked. The Sun found delivery slots at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco had sold out for over a week at some addresses, while shoppers are also complaining of delays on social media. Depending on your location and local store, Sainsbury's is showing delivery slots are available as early as November 30. To check this, we have signed up to Sainbury's and used addresses in Leeds.

Sainsbury's has opened its Christmas slots for customers to book for home delivery for the peak week in December.

Unlike other supermarkets, Sainsbury's will stagger its delivery slots with shoppers able to book December 20 initially with new days released daily.

Sainsbury's last Christmas delivery date will be December 23, although click and collect will be available Christmas Eve.

Customers hoping to get a slot will need to log into their Sainsbury's account here.

No payment will be taken until the day of delivery or collection and shoppers can log into their account and amend their baskets as many times as they wish up until 11pm the day before their delivery date.

Earlier this month, Tesco released its Christmas Delivery slots and was met with such a high demand its customers were left in a virtual queue for more than one hour.

An hour after the slots went live Tesco issued a message to customers through its official Twitter account where it informed them a virtual waiting room had been set up.

By 8.30am, Tesco's website became so busy people struggled to access it at all.
